Hello Sisters -In -Christ,

I want to share with you how excited I am to begin this new adventure in being the chairman of Women's Ministry.  First, I want to thank the Lord for making known to me this path of life (Psalm 16: 11 a).  For instructing me and teaching me in the way I should go (Psalm 32:8a).  For making it clear this is His calling with which He has called me to (Ephesians 4: 1 b).

For many years, I have had a strong desire and love in being a Titus women.  To be the example, spoken about in Titus 2:3-5.  To encourage women, come alongside, to listen and most of all to share Christ's love with them.  Teaching them the truth that each are created in the image of God (Genesis 1 :27) and are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).  For me personally, when I was able to grasp that truth of fully knowing my true identity In Christ, according to God's word, I was set free.  Many times through the valleys, I had to be taught this.  I can honestly say, I am thankful to the Lord for those valleys.  I am also thankful to the Lord for this opportunity to be chairman of Women's Ministry.  It is with God's confidence, enabling, and equipping that I can say "yes" to this calling.

I have shared this with the committee and now with each of you because  you are a part of the ministry.  We should never forget, It is the Lord's ministry.  It's my prayer, that each of us would seek His face (Psalm 27:8) to ask the Lord to show us His ways, teach us His paths, guide us in His truth (Psalm 25:4&5), and show us how we can minister to the women of Bible Fellowship. Just as each of us represents the body of Christ and are a part of it, each of us is needed (1 Corinthians 12).  Our theme verse says, "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for He who promised is faithful.  Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as we see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:23-25).  Therefore, please share your ideas and suggestions.

As the verse says, "let us" so it takes each one of us to be sensitive and aware of the different needs of the women of Bible Fellowship.

There are many activities offered through out the year to give everyone an opportunity to be a part of, to share, to give, to get to know someone better, or to feel more connected to the women of Bible Fellowship.  Some of these activities are the fall and Spring Luncheons, the January retreat, and each month a Ladies Night Out.  We encourage you to make the most of these opportunities (Colossians 4:5b).

Ephesians 4: 1-3 instructs us to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Would you pray for me that I would be an example of this scripture?  I hold myself accountable to each of you, as I serve as chairman of Women's Ministry.  It is sincerely my heart's desire and prayer, to reflect the Lord's glory, being transformed into his likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18a). To make it my goal to please him (2 Corinthians 5:9a).  That He (Christ) would become greater; and I would become less (John 3:30).

Thank you for letting me share with you. Remember now we are the body of Christ, and each one of us is a part of it and each one of us are needed (1 Corinthians 12).

Joyfully Serving With You,

Penny Carda
