"You Are Thinking About Me Constantly..."
Hello Sisters,

Isn't it amazing to think about how many Sisters -In -Christ we have?  It's even more amazing to think about how unique each of us are.  One of my very favorite passages in Gods word is Psalm 139.  Will you join me as I take a look at this Psalm?  The first thing that is mentioned is the Lord knows everything about me -about you. When we sit, stand our every thought.  He discerns our going out and our lying down.  He's familiar with ALL our ways.  The Lord knows us.  He understands us.  Have you ever found yourself saying, " I wish they, he, or she would just understand me, or understand what or why I'm doing what I'm doing.  But what did we just read?  There is someone who does understand us, "The Lord."

Going on we read next about how God is with us no matter where we are.  We are NEVER alone.  In "The Living Bible" it says, "This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe!"   No matter where we go or where we are the Lord is with us.  Verse 10 says, "Even there your hand will guide us; your strength will support us." What awesome assurance sisters to hang on to.

The next verses I find to be so encouraging. Starting with verse 13, "You (Lord) made all my delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother's womb," verse 14, "Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!  It is amazing to think about.  Your workmanship is marvelous, and how well I know it."

These verses are so encouraging and yet how often do we forget them.  How often do we put ourselves down, wishing we were this or that? God's word is truth.  If Gods word says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, then we are truly fearfully and wonderfully made.  We are created in the image of Christ, (Genesis 1 :27).  I wouldn't begin to say sisters, this hasn't been a stronghold in my life at one time.  Because the truth is it has been, but now I can truly say it's a bent.  Meaning, when I don't keep my eyes on the Lord and keep my mind renewed with Gods truth then that bent can raise its ugly head. Right away I must recognize the lie and renew my mind with the truth. There's so much freedom when one chooses to walk in Grace.

As your sister in the Lord, I encourage you to hold onto this marvelous truth.  Remembering each of us are unique, special and a beloved daughter of the King Most High.  WOW!

The next few verses talk about, how God knew each of us before we were even born and scheduled each day of our life before we began to breathe.  Every day was recorded in His Book!  (You can also look at Jeremiah 1 :4 & 5a).  Again, we have the assurance there is someone who knows us and not only knows us but has a plan and purpose for us.  That is incredible!

Verses 17 and 18 say, "How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly!  I can't even count how many times a day your thoughts turn towards me.  And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!"  Isn't this comforting sister, to know someone is thinking of us constantly.  We can say for a fact these thoughts are pure and holy.  What a challenge for us to think and speak of each other with good, kind, pure thoughts and words (Philippians 4:8).

Dear sisters, I think I will stop here. Thank you for taking the time to sit with me, through this wonderful Psalm.  I hope you have been greatly encouraged and challenged, as I have been.  As Sisters -In -Christ, lets continue to encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact, you are doing (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Love,

Your Sister- In -Christ,

 Penny
