James 1
Introduction to James -The practical letter on Christian living, and marks of a mature, fruitful Christian.
Introduction 2 to James -Three men named James, and the calling out of the unbelieving James, half brother of Jesus.
James 1 vs. 1 -James turns to the Lord and becomes a servant, called, "James the Just."
James 1 vs. 2 -Our trials as victories and blessings!
James 1 vs. 2 continued -Our trials as victories and blessings!
James 1 vs. 3 -God is testing our faith, to see if we have "living" faith, steadfast and anchored in Christ. 
James 1 vs. 4 -Let God work it out, don't resist Him when He takes you through deep waters, and trials.
James 1 vs. 4 continued -Waiting upon the Lord is something we must learn.
James 1 vs. 5 -God supplies all the wisdom we need, without cost.
James 1 vs. 6 -God is a great giver, and one of His most marvelous gifts is wisdom.

"mother of good works."
James 2 vs. 18 through 26 -Faith without works, 
is dead.

James 3 vs. 1 -The awesome responsibility of 
teaching.
James 3 vs. 2 through 4 -Putting the tongue 
under control.
James 3 vs. 5 through 12 -Recognizing the ugliness
of an uncontrolled tongue.
James 3 vs. 11 through 18 -What does a man with
wisdom from God, look like?

         James 4  
James 4 vs. 1 -How good it is to see love and 
compassion in our homes and churches.
James 4 vs. 2 and 3 -Envy does something to your
life.
James 4 vs. 4 -Don't commit spiritual adultery or be
a fence rider.
James 4 vs. 5 -God watches over His own with a very
jealous love. 
James 4 vs. 6 -God has all that we need to walk
victorious.
James 4 vs. 7 and 8 -What you and I can do to ensure
victory.
James 4 vs. 9 and 10 -As you submit to God, His 
presences becomes real.
James 4 vs. 11 and 12 -Are you in the habit of "telling 
people off?"
James 4 vs. 13 through 16 -How do you know the 
will of God?
James 4 vs. 17 -Are you good for nothing?

        James 5   
James 5 vs. 1 through 6 -Are you blessed with riches
far above what you expected?
James 5 vs. 7 and 8 -Have patience in light of God's 
reward.
James 5 vs. 8 -Stick in there, He is 
coming! 
James 5 vs. 9 -Don't grumble against others,
and don't be some bodies waste basket.
James 5 vs. 10 -Having patience in suffer,
is important.
James 5 vs. 11 -A special example of patience
in time of trial.
James 5 vs. 12 -The test and principle of
honesty.
James 5 vs. 13 -Don't get so discouraged
that you quit.
James 5 vs. 13 continued -Why not pray and praise
with thankfulness?
James 5 vs. 14 -A difficult, but very encouraging
passage.
James 5 vs. 14 continued -Sickness can be to the 
glory of God.
James 5 vs. 15 -God can heal to His glory or show
His keeping power.
James 5 vs. 14 and 15 revisited, and 16 through 18 -Faithful
men of God needed.
James 5 vs. 19 and 20 -Bring back a brother
from error.
